DANCERS WIN TOP AWARDS!

We are so proud of Chris Garvey and her dancers for winning not one but two Entertainment Awards at Onstage New York this past weekend! Each is a $200 gift certificate toward nationals or next year's regional coompetition. If that weren't enough, the team won the Class Act Award for choreographing age appropriate, 'classy', and artistic dance. This also comes with a $200 gift certificate. Finally, we got the Backstage Award for Good Sportsmanship.

Congratulations to all the competition team dancers for a fabulous job at Fire and Ice. We had so many firsts at this competition. Our first ever diamond awards, the highest ranking at this competition. Very few are given out and our team won 6!

We have never had a soloist or group win first overall. Congrats to Samantha, overall high soloist for the day; Justice and Taylor, overall high duo teen trio; Pro Kicks, 1st overall sr. group.

Great Job at Audition!

Allegro intermediate and advanced ballet dancers did a great job at the Oil Region Ballet audition this past Saturday. They took a master class by the two artistic directors.

Competition Schedule Announced

The Allegro Competition Schedule is set. The season will start out in Warren, OH on April 9 & 10 at the Packard Music Hall. The next venue is Headliners at the Stambaugh in Youngstown, April 23-25. The season finishes up in Pittsburgh at the Convention Center, May 1-2.

Competiton dancers need to turn in their schedule confirmation by December 1. Also, competition team members need to order their warm-ups by November 23.

Dance Store Hours and News

Dance store hours are: Tues. -Thurs. 4-7, Fri 4-6, & Sat 9-12. We are in the process of getting Allegro dancewear Christmas items. We will be offering sweatpants, shirts, hoodies, flashlights and more!

Allegro Warm-ups are available to order for Christmas and for competition team members. Please order by November 23.

Ballet Audition 11/7 3:30

Ballet Audition this Saturday at 3:30.

We strongly encourage all level 3b and higher dancers to attend this audition on Sautrday in studio 1. Marc Holland is forming the Oil Regoin Ballet Company or "ORB". He is looking to work with Allegro ballet dancers and dancers from Franklin, Oil City and Clarion on a production of "Alice in Wonderland". Dates are not finalized for this first production.

Requirements are: Arrive by 3:00. Wear pink tights, ballet shoes, black leotard, hair slicked back in clean bun. If on pointe, bring shoes with you. Must be 9 years or older to pariticipate.
